1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the EdgeWright platform at app.edgewright.ai and related services (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and EdgeWright ("we", "us", or "our"), governed by the laws of Canada.

2. Description of Service

EdgeWright is a cloud-based computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) platform that allows users to design parts and cabinets, generate toolpaths and G-code, perform nesting optimization, and export files for CNC machining. Features include:

  • DXF/SVG file import and part design
  • Cabinet design and BOM generation
  • AI-powered signage and image-to-carve generation
  • Toolpath and G-code generation
  • Nesting optimization
  • Project storage and management

3. Accounts

3.1 Registration

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at service@edgewright.ai if you suspect unauthorized access.

3.3 Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3.4 One Account Per User

You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits, plan restrictions, or any suspension or termination.

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

4.1 Subscription Tiers

EdgeWright offers free and paid subscription plans. Features, storage limits, and usage quotas vary by plan and are described on our pricing page.

4.2 Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) in advance. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on each billing date.

4.3 Storage Limits

All accounts are subject to storage limits as defined by your subscription plan. We reserve the right to restrict the upload of new files if you exceed your plan's storage quota.

4.4 x402 Protocol Payments

The Service may offer pay-per-use API access using the x402 payment protocol, which processes payments in cryptocurrency (USDC) on supported blockchain networks (including Base and Solana). By using x402-gated features:

  • You represent that you have a compatible cryptocurrency wallet with sufficient funds
  • You understand that blockchain transactions are irreversible
  • You agree that payment verification is handled by third-party facilitators (e.g. Coinbase CDP)
  • You acknowledge that cryptocurrency transactions may be subject to network fees outside our control

4.5 Refunds

Subscription payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact service@edgewright.ai within 14 days of the charge.

4.6 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

4.7 Taxes

You are responsible for any applicable taxes on your purchases. Prices displayed may not include applicable taxes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to generate toolpaths or G-code for the manufacture of illegal items or weapons
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • Upload files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
  • Use the Service to infringe any third party's intellectual property rights
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without authorization
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks

6. Your Content

6.1 Ownership

You retain full ownership of all design files, project data, and other content you upload or create using the Service ("Your Content"). We claim no intellectual property rights over Your Content.

6.2 License to Us

By using the Service, you grant EdgeWright a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and transmit Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you.

6.3 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights to use any third-party files or designs you upload. You represent and warrant that Your Content does not violate any third party's intellectual property rights or applicable law.

6.4 Shared / Template Content

The Service includes shared catalog designs and templates provided by EdgeWright. These templates are licensed for use within the Service only. You may not redistribute or sell them as standalone files.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, interface, documentation, and all content provided by EdgeWright (excluding Your Content), is owned by EdgeWright and protected by Canadian and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense the Service or any part of it.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Fly.io, Cloudflare, OpenAI, and cryptocurrency facilitators. Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. EdgeWright is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or practices of third-party services.

9. AI-Generated Content

Certain features use AI to generate images and design suggestions. AI-generated content may be subject to the terms of the underlying AI provider (e.g., OpenAI). You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated output may not always be accurate, complete, or fit for purpose
  • You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated designs before using them for manufacturing
  • EdgeWright makes no warranty regarding the fitness of AI-generated content for any particular CNC operation

10. CNC Machining Disclaimer

EdgeWright generates toolpaths and G-code intended to drive CNC machines. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • It is your sole responsibility to verify all G-code output before running it on any machine
  • CNC machining involves inherent risks including equipment damage and personal injury
  • EdgeWright is not responsible for any damage to machines, materials, workpieces, or property arising from the use of G-code generated by the Service
  • You must ensure all machine settings (feeds, speeds, tool dimensions, material properties) are correctly configured in your machine controller

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. EDGEWRIGHT DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE CANADIAN LAW, EDGEWRIGHT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF EDGEWRIGHT HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL EDGEWRIGHT'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO EDGEWRIGHT IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) CAD $100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless EdgeWright and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service; (b) Your Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any third party's rights.

14. Termination

14.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account, contact service@edgewright.ai.

14.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, with or without notice. We will endeavor to provide notice except where immediate action is necessary to protect the Service or other users.

14.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will provide a reasonable opportunity to export Your Content before account deletion. After 30 days following termination, we may permanently delete Your Content.

15. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved by the courts of competent jurisdiction in Canada.

We encourage you to contact us at service@edgewright.ai before initiating any formal dispute. We will make a good faith effort to resolve concerns informally.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

17. General

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and EdgeWright regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights without restriction.
  • Language: These Terms are in English. In the event of any conflict with a translated version, the English version prevails.
